Overview Of The Different Kind Of Saws

* How to Find the Best Mower Parts

The more you get involved in the industry the more you will need to know about the various types and styles of saws. There are many types of power saws that are used for large and small projects. You find the majority of the power saws that you can purchase are light weight making it easy for even the novice to do professional type work. You can purchase power saws in a variety of different sizes and varying amperages. This will guarantee you will have the right size of power saw for whatever project you are undertaking. Most of the newer power saws are equipped with a laser which provides a lighted line for you to follow. You will know exactly where to cut and your cuts will be perfectly straight. The laser lights are mostly red which make it easy to see.

I think that the most common type of power saw is the chainsaw. You you can purchase the chainsaw either gas powered or electric powered. The electric chainsaw is just right for the average handyman, home owner that wants to trim the hedges around their property or perhaps trim a bush or two. If your are big into cutting your own firewood you will want to purchase a gas powered chain saw. The gas powered chain saw like the electric chainsaw come with different sizes of chains. It all depends on what you are doing and how big of a chainsaw you need or are comfortable with, which one you buy. You can purchase a small 8” electric chainsaw all the way up to a 36” chain saw. They make the chains larger than that but for special purposes.

Another very popular saw is the circular saw. The circular saw is very versatile and is a great choice of saws if you want a saw that will replace a lot of other saws. The blades for circular saws are designed so there is a blade that you can use to cut just about anything like wood, plastics, metal and masonry. Be sure to choose the right blade for which ever application you working on. You also want to make sure that the saw you purchase has adequate amperage and the on/off is locate in a safe easy to reach position.

The miter saw is a type of circular saw that is sometimes referred as a chop saw. It is also sometimes spelled mitre saw. The miter saw is most commonly used for cross cutting and cutting accurate angles. That is why it is called a miter saw because of the angles that you can cut with it. The miter saw is most commonly used by the professional for framing projects or molding projects,The finish carpenter cannot do his job without a miter saw.

The scroll saw is used for very detailed work. It is similar to the band saw as far as the operation and purpose of the tool. There is one big advantage to using a scroll saw verses a band saw and that is you can remove the blade on a scroll saw and insert it into a drilled hole, reinstall the blade in your scroll saw and continue cutting your project.

Review of Acer Aspire TimelineX AS5830TG-6402

I’ve had this Acer Aspire TimelineX AS5830TG-6402 laptop for about a month now. I just use it for going on the internet, typing documents, playing solitaire, watching DVDs, etc.; I just use it for basic computer functions not gaming or using really fancy software or anything like that. So far, I love it and it does everything I want. One feature that I like is that it tells me the percentage of battery life remaining and also the hours and minutes based on whatever I am doing at the time. I haven’t tested the battery life to see how long it actually lasts yet. I use a desktop at home that it a quad-core with 6GB RAM and haven’t noticed a difference in speed or how many things I can have running at one time between the laptop and desktop. I bought the laptop because I am going to college and needed a computer that would meet the demands of my engineering curriculum. One thing I noticed about this computer was that hardly anything came pre-installed (in comparison with my HP desktop. The computer is easy to use and starts up and shuts down very quickly. I like the keyboard much better than other laptops I have used; I never accidentally hit the mouse pad on this laptop while typing. Also, the keys are a good size and respond to a lighter touch than other laptops (maybe this is just the way it seems and isn’t actually true, I’m not sure). I love having the numbers on the side of the keyboard like a desktop. It is easy to figure out the keyboard functions for playing movies on the computer too. The screen seems to have good proportions and I really like the speakers on the computer too. They have a good quality sound I think but the computer has to be only five feet away or so before the speakers aren’t loud enough I thought. The one thign that really annoys me about the computer is when it has updates. I’ve only had it a month and two or three times already I have been in the midst of watching movies and it suddenly shuts down for updates. I don’t know why, I don’t know how to change that, and I’ve never had a computer do that before. It has only happened though when I am watching a DVD. Other than that it seems reliable, easy to carry around, and overall exactly what I need for school and personal use.

HP Pavilion dv6-6140us Best Review

Originally I was looking for a HP Pavilion dv6-6140us
laptop for school. I came across this toshiba and really enjoyed the components that were included with my Toshiba Portege.

Pros: battery life is a good 6-7 hours watching netflix or surfing the web, Under 4lbs is a plus, originally said 640gb but i only have 580gb of HDD, plenty of memory for me. Intel core i5-2410m processor is quick. The overall build feels really good and sturdy. Has a disk drive which is a plus with smaller notebooks.

Cons: The bloatware is ridiculous, only goes up to 720p or 1366 x768. No back lit keyboard.

I actually purchased mine at office max, it was on sale for 650$ and with a two year warranty I paid 857$. So far I am very satisfied with my purchase. It is well worth the money, I will do an update in a couple of months

MBM Destroyit 4004 Cross Cut Shredder Review

The MBM Destroyit 4004 Cross Cut Shredder is designed to shred large volumes of material on a daily basis. Here are a few of the strengths and weaknesses of the MBM Destroyit 4004 Cross Cut Shredder.

1. The Destroyit 4004 Cross Cut has pretty unique motor. At around 2 4/5 Hp, it’s impressively powerful as far as shredder motors go, and is purported to run at 48 feet per minute, which is also pretty high. The real uniqueness come with the automatic 2-speed functionality. It has a “power” mode it uses when shredding large amounts of paper in a single pass, and a “speed mode for shredding lighter loads. We’re not sure which will get you through a pile of papers faster (bulk or speed) but we were impressed with the 4004’s ability to handle either.
2. The 4004 Cross Cut states the capacity to shred 40 sheets of paper per pass and we found that it performed at right around that capability without much of a problem. It was necessary to fan the sheets out across the width of the paper feed in order to get there, but that’s a small quibble. With all shredders, you have to keep in mind that sheet capacities vary according to power supply and paper weight, so 40 is probably best case scenario with the 4004 Cross Cut-and it’s an impressive capacity.
3. The 4004 Cross Cut destroys documents in a cross cut pattern (as the name suggests) and offers a Security Level of 3. This is a great security level, and is FACTA compliant, meaning that you will be within federal regulations regarding the destruction of documents that contain the types of information that identity thieves frequently use to commit their crimes.
4. Operating the Destroyit 4004 Cross Cut is a simple task. There is just one switch that controls all functions, so there is never any question what mode the machine is in. An electronic eye at the throat opening makes it possible for the user to choose automatic on/off mode, so you can simply place your paper in the slot and walk away.
5. The 16 inch feed opening is great for larger computer printout sheets.
6. While there isn’t an overabundance of high-tech safety features, the Destroyit 4004 Cross Cut has a few. There is an automatic reverse mode when the machine has been fed too much paper, and if a paper jam actually occurs, the motor will stop automatically. There is also power cut off in the instances of the cabinet door being open and when the waste box is too full to ensure safe operation of the shredder.
7. We do like the small touches that add to the convenience factor of the shredder, including the fact that it is mounted on casters and that the shred bag is large and rolls out for easy emptying.

Weaknesses:

1. The 4004 Cross Cut is not the quietest shredder we have ever come across, so it might be best placed in a separate room rather than in a central location within your office. There is an optional sound reduction cover for the 4004 Cross Cut, but we have not had a chance to check it out yet.
2. Having been recently impressed with MBM’s newer “Safety Protection System,” the 4004 Cross Cut machine seems almost naked without it (though we still rate it as a very safe machine). If you want similar capacity and some more advanced safety features, please check out the newer 4002 or 4005 lines of Destroyit shredders.

How to Maximize Your Coupon Savings

In these times of recession, a lot more people are using coupons to save on groceries and other products. Here are a few suggestions to help you maximize the savings you realize with coupons.

* Focus on the wording. Often people only look at the pictures on coupons. But if you read the fine print on the coupon, you might be able to redeem the coupon for products other than those pictured on the coupon. Manufacturers tend to highlight the priciest item in a product line on the coupon.
* Bigger isn’t always better. Most people think (correctly) that bigger sizes means better values. However, when it comes to coupons, the opposite is usually true. You’ll usually get the best deal by redeeming that coupon for the smallest size. Applying the discount on the coupon to the overall price of a smaller package brings down the unit price.
* Supersize the savings. Most coupons have a disclaimer that says you can only use one per item. However, you can still get multiple discounts on the same product, because there are two types of coupons–one issued by the manufacturer and one issued by the stores. The store coupons can be found in Sunday circulars, store fliers and on retailer and product websites. Clip both types of coupons for the same item and you can really rack up the savings.
* Be patient. If you find a coupon for an item you purchase on a regular basis, hold on to it for about 3 weeks before using. Merchants bet on consumers rushing out to buy the item which is featured on a coupon so they keep the item at full price. A few weeks later the store will usually put the item on sale. So, by holding on to the coupon you can get the store discount as well as the coupon discount to maximize your savings.

So, with a little creativity and effort, you can truly maximize the savings you derive from coupons! Get out your scissors and get to work!
